The Unofficial Science Of Home Alone

Comedians Guz Khan and James Acaster will be stepping into the shoes of Home Alone’s burglars, The Wet Bandits, to see if they can use science to survive the iconic traps set in the movie. The duo will be assisted by an engineer as they build their own versions of some of the most memorable boobytraps from the film, including burning hot doorknobs, electrocution by live cables and swinging paintcans to the head, as they attempt to catch their very own Kevin McAllister, who was played by Macauley Culkin. Home Alone super fan Alex Brooker will also travel to America to go behind the scenes of the festive favourite and visit some of the key locations featured in the film and meet some of its stars.
